CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL - FAQS

  • What time will the transfers be to/from the racecourse each day?
    Racecourse Transfers - All of our hotels include racecourse transfers, each night booking includes one transfer which automatically starts on the day of arrival, if you would prefer to change this to the following day please let us know. If you require an additional transfers, this is available at booking stage. Our transfers will aim to get to the racecourse around 'gates open' stage and will leave 45 mins after the last race. Our coaches will benefit from VIP parking at the racecourse.
  • What time is check in at the hotel?
    Check In times differ per hotel, times will be available via your itinerary.
  • Can I leave my bags at the hotel before check in?
    Yes, all our hotels will offer to store your luggage on the day of arrival while you enjoy your race day.
  • Do you send the tickets out via post?
    No, your tickets will be issued at the hotel on race day.
  • I need an accessible room, how do I let the hotel know?
    Please let us know and we will request this via the hotel.
  • Can I make a change to my booking after it has been sent?
    We will do our best to change your booking but due to high demand this will be based on availability.
  • When is the final payment due?
    Final payment is due 10 weeks prior to the event (w/c 30.12.24)
  • Is there a dress code for each day at the races?
    We will inform you of the dress code (if applicable) on the itinerary.
  • When will I receive my documentation for all details?
    Your confirmation will be issued at the time of booking, the full itinerary will be sent approx. 2 weeks before the event. If any of your contact details change between time of booking, and time of the event please let us know so we can send the documents correctly.
  • If I booked hospitality, who should I inform of dietary restrictions?
    Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at time of booking for all members of your party.
  • Does my hotel stay include breakfast?
    All of our hotels include breakfast in the price of your stay. (Not applicable to the Travelodge options)
  • Is there parking at my hotel, and does it have a cost?
    We have done our best to restrict any further costs relating to the hotels, but please check your itinerary for parking costs.
  • Who do I contact for information about my booking?
    All bookings are handled by Venatour Racing and NOT The Jockey Club or Cheltenham Racecourse, please email racing@venatour.co.uk or call 01242 650192 with any questions.
  • Can I add an extra night stay at my hotel?
    Yes, if you cannot find the dates you require please contact us we will do our best to facilitate any extra rooms nights.
  • Do I need travel insurance for this trip?
    Yes, we recommend taking out travel insurance.
  • I’d like to add hospitality, but I have already completed my booking, can I add it separately?
    Yes, no problem. Please contact us on racing@venatour.co.uk to book any additional requirements.
  • I’d like a helicopter transfer to the racecourse, are there specific hotels I need to stay at?
    Yes, we have a range of hotels that we can offer helicopter transfers, please see the descriptions to see if your hotel as this option. Hotels include: Hilton Puckrup Hall & Golf Club De Vere Tortworth Court Lords of the Manor Hotel
  • Will there be a Venatour Racing Rep at the racecourse who I can talk to?
    Yes, we will have staff on all coaches and at the racecourse to assist all our guests.
